Dr. Sefton Vergano received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. He subsequently joined the biochemistry department at New York University. His work there culminated in the publication of an innovative study in the Journal of Biological Chemistry.

After two years in the lab, Dr. Vergano returned to Philadelphia to complete his medical degree. He attended the Temple University School of Medicine and earned his medical degree in 2004. Dr. Vergano completed his internship and residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

After completing his internal medicine training, Dr. Vergano returned to his home state of New Jersey where he completed subspecialty training in Endocrinology and Metabolism at the UMDNJ – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Dr. Vergano is skilled at the management of hormonal disorders, diabetes, thyroid disease, and osteoporosis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism. He is certified in Clinical Densitometry. Dr.Vergano is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, the Endocrine Society, and the American College of Physicians.

Prior to joining Endocrinology Associates of Princeton, Dr. Vergano worked at the RWJ-Hamilton Endocrinology and Diabetes Practice. He remains a part of the medical staff of RWJ-Hamilton and is pleased to remain in the vicinity. In addition, Dr. Vergano is an attending Endocrinologist at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
