Ronak Patel MD

Endocrinology

Dr. Patel graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Maryland College Park with high honors in Biology. During his undergraduate training, he performed research projects at the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and at the University of Maryland.
 
He subsequently went to Washington DC to obtain his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He graduated medical school with distinction.
 
After completing medical school, Dr. Patel completed his internal medicine training at Christiana Care Health System in Delaware. During his residency training, he was awarded the Darilyn Moyer, MD, FACP Professionalism Award by the American College of Physicians (ACP). At Christiana Care, he was also a member of the Diabetes Integrated Practice Team, which aimed to improve diabetes care delivery.
 
After completing his internal medicine training, Dr. Patel went to the University of Virginia to complete subspecialty training in Endocrinology and Metabolism. During his endocrinology subspecialty training, he helped conduct research on an automated insulin delivery system. Dr. Patel is an active member of the Endocrine Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Dr. Patel is Board Certified in Endocrinology and Metabolism as well as Internal Medicine.
