Dr. Diane Fresca completed her undergraduate education at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and graduated with magna cum laude honors in 1997. While at F&M, Dr. Fresca also received both Phi Beta Kappa and Marshall Scholar honors. She returned to her home state of New Jersey to pursue her medical education at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and received her M.D. in 2001. Prior to graduation, Dr. Fresca was awarded membership to Alpha Omega Alpha (the highest honor bestowed upon a graduating medical student).

Dr. Fresca remained at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School for her internal medicine residency and became board certified in internal medicine in 2004. She was subsequently selected as chief resident for the 2004-2005 academic year. During her chief year, Dr. Fresca organized and actively participated in the residency’s community service program. In recognition of her efforts, she was awarded the Internal Medicine Residency’s Humanism and Professionalism Award in 2005.

Following chief residency, Dr. Fresca accepted a position as the Assistant Program Director for the Internal Medicine residency program at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. While at St. Peter’s Dr. Fresca was recognized for her efforts in medical education.

In 2006, Dr. Fresca returned to Robert Wood Johnson Medical School after being accepted into the Endocrinology fellowship program. Upon completion of training, she became board certified in Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes in 2008 and was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology in 2011.

Dr. Fresca has been practicing Endocrinology in the private practice setting since 2008. She is an active member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and is skilled in the management of diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, and multiple other endocrinopathies.
